Legal and risk notice

This page states plainly what Charge Desk is and is not, how it is funded, and the limits on what a website can say about disputes and reversals. It is not legal or financial advice and it does not replace your card issuer’s terms or the operator’s terms.

Entry 01

Entry 01Adults only, and not a route around the rules

The content on this site is for adults aged 18 or over, and only where gambling is lawful for you. It is educational: it explains how the dispute and reversal layer of a gambling account works. It is not a way to bet, a way around any operator’s terms, any self-exclusion or any law, and it is not a way to reverse a payment you genuinely authorised or to recover money you are not entitled to. If you are under 18, or if gambling is not lawful where you are, this site is not for you.

Entry 02

Entry 02Affiliate disclosure

The site is funded by a single affiliate link to a partner operator, present in the header and in the calls to action on each page. If you open an account through that link we may be paid, at no extra cost to you. The link is disclosed on every page. It does not change the mechanisms explained here, it does not make any product better value, and it is not a reason to play. There are no rankings on this site and no operator is placed above another by us.

Entry 03

Entry 03Not legal, financial or tax advice

Nothing here is legal, financial or tax advice, and nothing here is a prediction, a pick, a tip or a system. The mechanisms described — the card chargeback and its network rules, the operator-side clawback, the internal reversal, the evidence and the parties that decide — are described as the general model that many card networks, banks and operators follow. The terms that apply to you depend on your card issuer, your bank, the card network, the operator’s terms and where you live, and they differ between countries, states and provinces and change over time. For your own situation, read your card agreement and the operator’s terms and, where it matters, consult a qualified adviser or a regulator.

Entry 04

Entry 04The limits that are part of the subject

Some limits are not fine print but the subject itself. A chargeback must fit a network reason code, and a dispute that does not fit the facts can be lost on the operator’s evidence and can cost the account. A clawback can lawfully remove a credit whose funding was reversed, and a self-exclusion or a licence duty can keep a record an account cannot remove. A provisional credit is provisional and can be withdrawn. This desk explains these limits rather than promising an outcome, because the outcome is decided by your bank and the card network on the evidence, not by any information here.

The honest summary

A genuine fraud or a genuine non-delivery is what the chargeback is for, and it stands on the evidence inside the window. A dispute without ground is a losing case with a cost attached.

Entry 05

Entry 05The real risks

Gambling carries a real risk of real loss, and the dispute layer does not change that. Every stake can be lost in full, and a settled result is not a signal about the next one. No explanation of chargebacks or clawbacks protects a balance, and none is a reason to stake more or to chase a loss. Never stake money you cannot afford to lose, never borrow to play, and never chase losses with a larger stake. Gambling can cause serious financial harm, including debt, and damage to relationships and mental health. Free and confidential support is available in most countries through national gambling-harm helplines, for players and for the people around them. If gambling has stopped being a choice, stop and seek help.

Affiliate disclosure and risk warning

Every affiliate link on this page and in the header is a sponsored link to a partner operator, and we may be paid if you open an account through it, at no extra cost to you. That link pays us; it does not improve any decision, it is not a ranking, and it is never a recommendation to play. Nothing on this page is legal, financial or tax advice, and nothing here is a prediction about any event or market, or a view on any operator or any bank. 18+ only. Every stake is money at risk and can be lost in full. The dispute and reversal mechanisms explained here — the card chargeback and its network rules, the operator-side clawback of a deposit or bonus, the internal deposit reversal, the evidence a dispute turns on and the parties that decide it — are general descriptions of how those mechanisms usually work, not a statement of the rules, terms or law that apply to you: card-network rules, bank policies, operator terms and consumer law differ between countries, states and provinces and change over time, and a dispute you raise is decided by your bank and the card network on the evidence, not by this site. This page does not name any operator or bank and is not a substitute for your card issuer’s terms, the operator’s terms, or advice from a qualified adviser or a regulator. Nothing here is a way to reverse a payment you genuinely authorised, a way to recover money you are not entitled to, or a way around any operator’s terms, any self-exclusion or any law. Never stake money you cannot afford to lose, never borrow to play, and never chase losses with a larger stake. Gambling can cause serious financial harm, including debt and damage to relationships and mental health. Free and confidential support is available in most countries through national gambling-harm helplines, for players and for the people around them.
